Since 2011, then into the old Youth in Action program and now into E+, the NGO Proyecto Kieu has been working closely in a partnership relationship with the town of Numancia de la Sagra through his young center when carrying out youth projects both locally and European. In subsequent years this kind of collaboration has also been established with other municipalities in La Sagra county, Spanish province of Toledo. The result of this it cooperation along the years is that we may now be able to train with practical tools other entities staff when they want to develop this kind of public-private cooperation for youth programs in their own municipalities. We believe that such partnerships are beneficial to both entities (public bodies and civil society entities), which can develop together a much better work; also adding to E+ projects a component of high quality because this way of work optimize resources and make co-financial a reality. The results are more optimized projects and better use of resources, also the possibility of promote high quality youth activities in small towns a European dimension. The profile of participants for this TC is youth workers active in towns of less than 20,000 inhabitants, staff or volunteers in the partner organizations, that can replicate what they will lean with us in their respective communities. Therefore, we opened 31 places always encouraging each country involving a public entity representative in order to facilitate the process of signing agreements of public-private collaboration. The TC will take place in Borox from 28th October to 4th November 2016 and in it will participate institutions from six different countries: Italy, Finland, Armenia, Iceland, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Spain. The overall objective of this project is to contribute to improve the quality of work in the field of youth through cooperation between public and private entities established in small towns from different countries in Europe. Taking advantage of the coincidence of the dates of the seminar with the celebration of the festival of Halloween in the villages of the region of La Sagra, participants will have the opportunity to observe and share firsthand how applying the working method proposed in this training activities are a success of participation and put to work together different local authorities, local councils, youth groups and local associations. In La Sagra, thanks to the work of PK and the E+ program, we have the basis of a practical and creative methodology that allows participants to create spaces for expression and promotes the exchange of experiences and peer learning. A way or work that in small villages allows participants to reflect and find the elements of collaboration between public bodies and different kind of organizations from organized civil society. With this seminar we want to get a higher number of partnerships between public and private organizations in different European countries generally to promote youth work in small villages and particularity when submitting projects to Erasmus + program.
