The results of the previous project Cross-border promotion of quality vine-growing and wine-making in the Eastern Veneto and Slovenia have confirmed the opportunity to act efficiently by means of a territorial and cross-border promotional policy for typical products, working in agreement with the other economic categories such as restaurant and hotel managers. This project concentrates on the DOC (Registrated designation of origin) Lison Pramaggiore and Slovenian wines to improve the promotion and communication with consumers and sector operators through meetings and thematic events. The general purpose of the project is setting up forms of cooperation among producers, restaurant and hotel managers, thus consolidating the territorial image to the eyes of thematic and traditional tourists. The implementation of the project aims at fostering the sale and consumption of cross-border typical food and wines. Promoting associations between wine and other typical local products, such as cheese, makes it possible to confer greater visibility on the local agri-food heritage and contributes to its environment-friendly development. The final purpose of the project is contributing to the improvement of marketing and distribution of the quality wines produced in Eastern Veneto and Slovenia, and to the information dissemination about the quality wine production in the DOC Lison Pramaggiore area. To this end, promotional events will be organized in places of historical and oenologic importance.
