Skyline
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Nov 30, 2014 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project brought together youth from Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Germany to participate in a 10 day workshop at Castle Bröllin where they worked together in groups through the creative mediums of video, art and theatre in conjunction with music composition on a project theme called: ?SKYLINE? - my everyday life and future. The aim of this intercultural Exchange was for youth of the same age to share their personal experiences and values and as such explore the differences within the family sphere and the traditions of their representative countries. The intended outcome was to create a tolerance and strengthening of social cohesion. We havel raised questions such as; what is good in my everyday life? How should my future look? What situations and which people influence me personally and in my everyday life? Are there differences between one another? And what differences exist nationally and which concern Europe at large? Also what do these questions mean within the social environment of youth today? Answering these questions we worked through the differences, common characteristics and above all flesh out the experiences in their individual everyday life via a creative process which was culminated in a group performance. Finally we invited youth from the regions of Greifswald and the neighbouring region of Wojewodschaft from Poland to watch the performance. Overall the Project aims to promote European cooperation amongst youth so as to diminish existing prejudices. The commonality of life, learning and working together inspires an understanding of each other's culture and draws from the participants a mutual respect of their cultures while at the same time developing individual growth and expanding community horizons.
