SIMPLE - Sharing the best International Mobility Practices Learned
SIMPLE is a project that shares good mobility practices from the experienced organizations on international student and staff exchanges. Project priority is on the development and transfer of mobility strategies in VET. Outcomes, models and procedures from language and cultural preparation, mobility services, administration and VET specific realizations of mobilities are collected. Then modified into the Toolkit of Mobility Strategy, which will be available at printed version and virtually on extended version through project website (with video clips, animation, interviews etc.). Mobility practices and procedures are also tested within the partner coalition and evaluated through international Peer Reviews in the participating countries. The SIMPLE project consortium is formed from different education providers in five countries (Finland, UK, Germany, Denmark and Slovenia). All organizations are experienced actors in student mobilities and their supporting services, language and cultural preparation and VET specific mobility solutions on the placements at the companies and integrated school activities or workshops. There are private and public organisations in the consortium. Some partners are relatively small (NWA, SMGS) and some are very large regional VET centres with many VET sectors. Some partner organizations also have students with special needs and students who have skipped regular VET systems because of socio-cultural or educational disadvantages. Thus the aim is to implement Toolkit of Mobility Strategy suitable for different educational organizations. The impact of SIMPLE is to provide some tools and learned examples to realise the best possible mobility experiences and to ensure good mobility practices and their development between organizations through QM method (Peer Review). Some of SIMPLE elements may be added to the cooperation between ECVET competent organizations and these are essential concerning further promotion of transparency and trust. Ongoing challenge is also how to individualize learning mobilities through the needs of learners and work places.
