"Sev for a smile" project is implemented by SEGMENT Association (Romania) in partnership with Oportunidad Europa (Spain), Concordia Association (France) and Association GASTagus ( Portugal) . The project represents a continuation of our efforts to involve youth in volunteer activities that promote health -oriented behavior, creativity, willingness to work in a team. In the same time, we intend to educate their ambition, courage and self representation. Through this project we offer young people from various countries the opportunity to relate interculturally, to practice non-formal education methods and interact in a constructive and creative way. We will involve in this project 2 young people from France, one young man from Spain and a young man from Portugal, who will work with youth from social apartments in Bucharest. The project provides the following activities: sports; juggling and street animation activities; urban incursions in Bucharest and excursions to other Romanian cities; socio-cultural activities. The project covers a period of 12 months; the effective volunteer program has 10 months. The main outcomes of the project are: personal development of the participants and of the target group; fostering intercultural communication, self-expression and self-representation; creating a project brochure that will be used as a primary tool of dissemination. And last but not least, the organizational development of SEGMENT Association.
