Servus! ¡Hola! – Welcoming and working with Spanish volunteers in Vienna

Venue: Vienna Involved Volunteers: 2 Project Duration: 16 months Hosting Organizations: Verein TIW (Potenzial Jugend) and KOMIT (Pappel) both placed in Vienna. Sending Organizations: Asociación Jóvenes Hacia la Solidaridad y el Desarrollo (JOVESOLIDES) and Patronato Sociocultural (IMAGINA – Área de Juventud, Infancia y Adolescencia de Alcobendas) both placed in Spain. Involved Volunteers: Osama JLILAT PÁEZ (Verein TIW- Potential Jugend; Spain) and Nadine (KOMIT- Pappel; Spain). Within “Servus! ¡Hola! – Welcoming and working with Spanish volunteers in Vienna” two Spanish volunteers were involved in two organizations working in the social field promoting inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and special needs in Vienna. During the period of 10 months, these 2 EVS volunteers had the chance to develop their volunteering projects in Vienna, a European Capital, where they had the opportunity to have a working experience abroad while they were living in a foreign country, getting to know a new culture, people and language. The project was part of the MELANGE program, the EVS programme in Vienna strongly supported by the city of Vienna/wienXtra where Grenzenlos set up networks for volunteers and international partners and host partners and volunteers receive special support.
