The current Project has been developed in Azuqueca de Henares, placed in the region of Guadalajara. This town stands out because of its good communication to get to Madrid, for it only takes 30 minutes by car and 50 minutes by train stopping at Atocha’s station. Moreover, Azuqueca is only half an hour from Madrid Barajas International Airport.
The entity in charge of the greeting is the Town Hall of Azuqueca de Henares through the Youth Council, which organizes and manages the services and activities aimed to youth population. Some of the main objectives are offering an alternative leisure, invigorating the places destined to the use of the youth, promoting their participation, offering them information that might be interesting, fostering educational actions and favoring the approach between young Azuqueca’s population and European reality.
The persons selected to accomplish the EVS in our entity has been selected among 30 youngsters because of their motivation and interest.
This EVS project will start the 1st of October 2015 and end the 31st of May 2016. Throughout this period, the selected volunteers will participate on these areas:

Coordination between welcoming and sending organizations has been carried out by telephone, e-mails and skype.
Regarding the results are the increase of informational applications about young mobility as well as the increase of young people from Azuqueca participating on mobility European programs.
As for the benefits of the project, firstly it gives to the volunteers an opportunity to grow in both personal and professional ways as well as an opportunity to get to know other cultures, languages and people.
The benefits of welcoming European voluntaries for our town are making the local youth contacting another culture and language, so the interest of approaching that type of activity will increase. In a long-term, the interest of participating on European voluntary projects is expected to increase.
