" Seeds of Europe" , is a European Voluntary project based on sociocultural revitalization and environmental education , through a series of community urban gardens, environmental education workshops and promotion of healthy leisure habits . Through these three complementary lines of action we want to work with the youth population of the municipality of La Laguna , using tools of non-formal education planting in the young people, new environmental concerns, and develop in them a greater sense of tolerance and respect for the other cultures living in Europe. This regular work in community gardens will be held jointly between young people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, in order to work together to nurture a common goal. Volunteers also will organice environmental education workshops for children, youth and adults , focusing on creative recycling , self -production and responsible consumption among citizens in the municipality. Also they will organize additional dynamic activities such as hiking , cultural and culinary workshops , dances and sports from other European countries. And workshops for prevention habithabits like smoking or alcohol consumption will be organized in order to propose alternative healthy leisure among young people of the Island. Seeds of Europe project, have been running for 9 months, by three European volunteers, and with those three lines of work. we want to reach as many young people as possible, to develop in them the sensibylity to environmental and co-living problems, and germinate new attitudes within them, to discover that they are the ones who build their own future and the future of Europe.
