The project intends to reduce risk of the safety problems in tourism sector through the development of innovation in tourism education (including further education and adult education).The project is based on four major needs:1)the growimg importance of criteria related to safety from the side of tourism demand, which is not generally sufficiently understood or met by SME’s in tourism;2)the necessity of improving educational programmes, providing update knowledge according to the ever changing profile of the profession, employers demands etc.3)to offer a more unified European quality tourism product conforming to safety standards, responding to the growing international demand,4) the need for new methods in tourism service organisation’s management and marketing.The project products will be:-Training tool “A guide of safety aspects within tourist routes”, including all relevant travel safety and security areas, which should be considered by the tourism service provider and travellers, accompanied by practical examples about tourism safety and security in Turkey.-Recommendations for tourism service providers”Safety and Security aspects in tourism service management and marketing. The training tool will be issued in printed format and in software application integrated for web version, the recommendations will be issued in printed format and will be available in the project web page, which will also include opportunities for subscribes to update material.
