Search and implementation of procedures for dyslexia in VET

Dyslexia is a disorder caused by a neurobiological alteration and it causes reading difficulties , that have different gravity livels and it is often accompanied by dysorthography, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and sometimes also by other disease mental activities. This disorder is a constitutional characteristic and it remains in adulthood. The European Dyslexia Association shows that 10% of the European population suffers from dyslexia . In countries with a Romance languages, the percentage of dyslexic people varies between 3 and 5%, while in the English-speaking countries, for the own particular irregularities language, the percentage rises to 17% and it involves mainly male sex. The full participation of disabled people in society and economy is essential if the EU wants to ensure the success of the Europe 20-20 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Coherently with one of the objectives of the framework Europe 20-20, that disabled people should be integrated appropriately in the general education system and benefit from individual support, objectives of the project are to contribute to: remove the legal and organizational block that prevent people with disabilities access to general education and lifelong learning systems; provide timely support to accessible education, personalized learning to everybody; ensure adequate training and support for professionals staff of the educational system. To obtain these results may be functional the diffusion of a protocol on dyslexia, which constitute a common reference for the different centers of education, training and inclusion in the labor market. Specific objective of the project will be: implementation of a protocol for the management of teaching and assessment of dyslexic subjects in the vocational training system, usable from the partner countries in the different training systems and disseminate among the European Community.
