EVS project “Sea is Life 4” was a follow-up of the previous successfully implemented EVS projects ‘Sea is life 1,2,3’ . It took place at Argonauta’s Island Stainability Education Centre in Murter (Island of Murter-Croatia). The main themes of the project were education for nature and environment, active citizenship and youth creativity. The objective of the project was to continue to raise awareness of the local community and wider public about the importance of sustainable development and unused local community resources, and to widen the impact of ISE Centre - with help of European Voluntary Service that two volunteers (Sonia Vazquez Marquez from Spain and Ewelina Bilinska from Poland) took for 12 (10) months period of living at the Island of Murter. Volunteers assisted in daily operations of ISE Centre in summer season, designed educational and creative workshops for children, assisted in promotional and administration work of the organization, assisted in preparation and implementation of youth exchange and local voluntary actions. Volunteers benefited from the project in personal, social, and professional development; partner organizations (sending and hosting) established relations in civil sector between three European countries. Local community of Murter Island and whole region was additionaly informed about ERASMUS+ Program and that motivated more young people to get actively involved in civil society activities. With means of non-formal education, volunteers have deepen their life perspective in a new culture different from their own.
