PROJECT
FINISHED
The project « Training in Europe » which was created at Pierre Boulanger secondary school for vocational training is our first application for the Erasmus + program. The pupils involved in this project are from the second and third year of baccalauréat professionnel of mechanics, driving, logistics and transport. The pupils will be placed into companies in accordance with the text of reference of each school course as these work experience schemes are an integral part of the vocational trainings and are taken into account to pass the certificates. The places for the training periods will suit to the skills of the pupils especially linguistic ones. A cultural preparation as well as a linguistic one will be organized. Candidates will be selected with openness and in order to make each mobility successful. Not only will the staff be welcomed in the associate vocational school or within the companies mainly for observation tasks but they will improve their educational and/or vocational practices.Mobility will be organized within our vocational school by the European mobility team. The participants, their parents and the partners will be regularly assessed. We had too often to say that pupils from vocational schools have learning difficulties, few opportunities and contact abroad and are afraid of leaving their usual background. Other reasons have justified the writing of this project among which the wish to put a long-lasting international standing in our school project by sending or welcoming young people from the associate schools. This openness is supported in the courses of our school which have all the parts of this standing in their reference text and in the certificate itself. The future truck driver as well as the logistician, the persons in charge of transport, of car or truck mechanics and the holders of diplomas will have to work in European-sized or international groups , to train during their whole life and to travel in Europe to increase their employability. Thanks to this experience the selected pupils will improve their linguistic level, will learn new skills and will become aware of the significance of mobility to train oneself, to be more self-sufficient, confident and to learn from others. The diffusion about this project will take place before, during and after the mobility periods. The mobility of the staff must make them think over their practices and improve them.By this project, young Europeans will be welcomed, will make other people discover their own country and culture and will perhaps arouse desires of mobility. In the long-term, we are waiting for a wider influence of our school in order to make pupils choose our highschool not for lack of another one but because they really want to. Thanks to our position in Europe, we will be better considered by French and foreign companies and closer ties will be built up with them.
