The policy of Scalda concerning International learning is aimed on integration of international learning in the curriculum of the VET education. Each cluster of education is responsible for the just how fast this process will be and to what extent.
Scalda has written in 2013 a policy on international learning and each cluster of education will scan the position of the cluster on international learning, based on ''Archetypes'' of international learning. Afterwards every cluster of VET education of Scalda will write down the cluster ambition and policy. The project SEM 2015-2017 is part of the policy of Scalda and is aimed at the goals of the policy.
At the moment 3 clusters of Education are involved: Catering, Tourism & Food (HTV), Care taking, Technic & Design (T&D) and CIOS (Sports). For each educational part of Scalda it is very important the student will experience an European labour market. Scalda wants students to become competent on the international labourmarket and international (technical) knowledge. Also the student will experience differences in European cultures, not only in work experience, but also because of communicating while living for a longer time in another European country. Foreign language learning will also be essential to the project; in the profession as well as communicating in general.
For the first time Scalda introduces professional international mobility. In this project learning and and choling for Scalda professionals will be combined with international mobility.
The project will be carried out by on the level of education as it comes to educational support by the clusters of education. On a central level the project leading, administration and evaluation will be organised.
The project will receive publicity on the website of Scalda and in newsletters. Also, international learning will be part of the introductions for young people interested in Scalda courses.
