"Say YES to Refugees" project is a project under the Erasmus +, key action 1 - mobility of youth workers. It will take place in Bucharest, Romania, between 05.12.2016-12.12.2016 and will involve a total of 24 youth workers from Romania, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece. Youth workers will participate at informal and non-formal activities (living library, public caffe, photo-voice) and will develop new skills in working with young people in order to stimulate the sense of tolerance regarding cultural diversity among them.Project is a way that contributes to the knowledge of Erasmus + as a tool for promoting inclusion of people from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly refugees newly arrived in response to critical events affecting European countries, in this period of time. The project also stimulates one of the principles of Erasmus +: equity and inclusion.The need to implement this project starts from the lack of information on the current context in which the European community are, regarding the issue of refugees. In this project the following objectives: 1. Training in non-formal education of 24 youth workers from Romania, Turkey, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria and Spain, working with young people to promote the sense of tolerance regarding Muslim refugees; 2. Prepare a guide with non-formal education methods that can be implemented by those involved in youth work.In the dissemination stage, which will run from January to March 2017, promoters will organize workshops in the partner countries, whose target group will be young people from Europa, in order to stimulate the sense of tolerance regarding diversity culture among them. Also, the promoters will develop a guide with all these methods that can be used in work with young people, guide that can be used by all persons involved in youth work.These results and methods of dissemination will help achieve the desired impact of the project, meaning increased social acceptance of refugees in European communities through participation of young Europeans people in activities that will promote the idea of equality among different cultures.
