The training course "Connecting Formal and Non-Formal Education in Action" will bring together 24 European Union social workers, youth workers, trainers and teachers working with disadvantaged youth in formal or non-formal settings. The TC will take place in Ergli, Latvia for 7 days in October 2010. The inspiration of the project is to create a space for dialogue between representatives of formal and non-formal educational systems who work with disadvantaged young people either in youth centers, social care or special educational institutions, or other educational settings in their countries, and prepare current needs analyzes of education of young people, access to non-formal education for disadvantaged young people. The participants will have a possibility to exchange information about educational systems in their countries, learn about formal and non-formal structures across the Europe, get new tools and information to use in their work and enhance quality of projects and future cooperation particularly in frame of "Youth in Action" programme.
