Panevezys Raimundas Sargunas sport gymnasium‘s project “Creation and Implementation of Development Strategy Focusing on Safe and Enabling Learning Education Environments“ contributes to the implementation of gymnasium‘s strategic objectives:the assurance of quality teaching,learning,the creation of safe,enabling learning education environments and leadership cultivation.Project activities involve 19 members of gymnasium‘s staff.Some of the project participants have experience in implementing international projects,professional development and gymnasium strategies‘ installation.All project training activities are targeted to the creation and implementation of development strategy focusing on safe and enabling learning education environments:the introduction,implementation of mediation method in the gymnasium,practical use of new methods promoting students‘ learning motivation,team building,innovative classroom management strategies as well as the promotion of couching approach,social inclusion,interactive social,communicative games,bullying prevention,Gestalt pedagogy,neuro-linguistic programming principles and experiential learning in the educational process with a special focus on teaching principles dealing with multicultural classes.Gained competences,experience of staff,will be adopted to the creation of development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments in the gymnasium.Participants' preparation for the training mobilities,the implementation,dissemination of project activities will be coordinated by a working group led by the project manager.The group will ensure the quality,management of the project,smooth and competent solutions to all practical and logistic matters of planned activities.Project activities:•Participants going to teacher training courses,job shadowing visits will gain the necessary experience in special preparatory sessions organised in the gymnasium and in this way they will get ready for their own professional development abroad.•After returning the sharing of project activities will be carried out in methodological groups,teachers‘ council in the gymnasium.•Development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments will be highly discussed in gymnasium‘s creative lab.•Development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments will be introduced during school’s board meetings in the gymnasium.•Development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments will be implemented,altered,evaluated.•A survey regarding the development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments will be carried out,during which gymnasium community will evaluate the effectiveness of the strategy.The analysis of data will take place,as well as the conclusions and suggestions for improvement.•In May,2017 a nationwide methodical-practical conference will be organised,during which development strategy focusing on enabling learning education environments will be introduced while ensuring the quality of teaching,learning,its development,implementation stages,as well as its advantages and the experience gained in teacher training courses,job shadowing visits.The results of project activities will be disseminated during the conference.Participation in the project “Creation and Implementation of Development Strategy Focusing on Safe and Enabling Learning Education Environments“ is beneficial for the successful implementation of gymnasiums’ strategic plan.The project will have a long-term positive impact on pupils increasing their emotional security,mutual respect,understanding,decreasing the number of conflicts,bullying.Students will learn conflict solving techniques.On the educational process used other classroom management techniques,team building strategies,experiential learning,coaching,interactive social,communication games,social inclusion,Gestalt pedagogy and neuro-linguistic programming principles will increase students‘ learning motivation,improve their academic achievements,decrease their drop out of the education system.Long-term positive impact project activities will have on teaching staff,who will learn classroom management strategies and educational principles in terms of experiential training methods,coaching approach,team building,social inclusion,Gestalt pedagogy,neuro-linguistic programming.Educators will also get acquainted with job aspects when teaching multicultural classes,improve their professional,social,general competencies,foreign language skills,will learn to observe,analyse the education process of other European schools,to study and work in teams.The gymnasium will develop a European dimension by establishing new and developing the already existing contacts with colleagues from other countries in secondary schools.The gymnasium will match the concept of learning organisation by creating and implementing the development strategy focusing on safe and enabling learning education environments.
