The project aims at raising the accessibility of modern communication technologies to the inhabitants of Monki, Goniadz, Knyszyn, Alytus and Trakai and creating safe upbringing and educational environment for the young generation. These objectives will be achieved by securing equal access to modern educational and communication tools, exchanging experience and ensuring greater safety of the projects target group. In order to accomplish that, it is planned to equip the municipalities on the Polish side of the border with Municipal Expected Results: Broadband Radio Network with Public Internet Access Points (PIAP). Moreover, a video monitoring system and videoconferencing equipment will be installed both in all locations covered by the project. The new equipment will serve to prepare and conduct educational programmes, including student exchange between Polish and Lithuanian partners. By means of videoconferences, the awareness on possibilities of modern waste recycling, social pathology prevention and solutions to social problems will be raised. Various promotion activities were planned in order to disseminate the results of the project: press articles, local TV coverage and labeling the purchased equipment.
