Taking in account the general needs of socialization of young people, they expose themselves on the internet without knowing methods and measures through how to use the social networks in a conscientious, responsible and safe way. In the same time, Safe Link project it is the follow up of Connect yourself, an youth exchange with similar topic that was implemented in December 2014.At general level we can observe a weak social virtual responsibility among young people. Behind an avatar, they feel free to experiment, without any awareness of the real life impact. The general need of socialization of the young people, in the context of modern technology and social networks development, facilitated also the development of the virtual threats, at social, personal and professional level.Thus, in the last years, the number of cyber bulling cases increased dramatically, especially those cases where the young people were the victims.This why, the project aims:To promote the responsible and active European citizenship and the concept of social responsibility on the Internet among the participants;To identify and promote relevant measures for personal, social and professional security on the Internet among participants;To develop the creativity and the digital skills of the participants;To develop visual tools for the promotion of the social responsibility on the Internet and online safety;The direct beneficiaries of the project are the 54 participants, 45 young people with the age between 15 and 30 years old and 9 group leaders, from 8 different countries. The participants are volunteers of the partner NGOs, involved in youth projects, but also young people from partners local communities, all of them suffering from the issues and needs that the project address through its activities and working sessions. The main project’s activity it is a youth exchange that will take place in Slanic Moldova, Romania between 29th of July and 08th of August 2016.Through this youth exchange we wish that the 54 participants to be aware of their role as European citizens and to understand the concept and the need of promotion of the social responsibility on the Internet. In the same time, we wish this activity to be a best practice sharing context, to identify and promote relevant measures for personal, social and professional security on the Internet among participants, to develop the creativity and the digital skills of the participants and to develop visual tools for the promotion of the social responsibility on the Internet and online safety; Last, but not least, through this youth exchange we wish to develop the digital competences and the creativity of the young participants.During the youth exchange we will use nonformal education methods that will stimulate the creativity and the active participation of the young participants, will stimulate the required nonformal frame that will help participants to use their maximum potential, but also through this methods we want to contribute to the personal, professional and social development of the young participants, but also classic methods as presentations and group work.Project's results:A. Tangible:- A brochure with relevant information about: what is the concept of social responsibility on the Internet, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the social networks, what are the European platforms promoting the personal, professional and social development of and among young people, what are the Internet threats, what is the cyber bulling, safety and protection measures against Internet threats, what is the virtual inclusion and exclusion, etc. All the debates' results from the working sessions will be included in this brochure. - 5 posters, 40 photos and 6 short movies for the promotion of the social responsibility on the Internet and/or informing young people regarding the importance of safety and protection against virtual threats.Long term speaking, we expect the project results to contribute at the multiplication of the project by other organizations, fact that will increase the attention level granted by public to these problems. Also, we expect increasing the number of projects with similar topics through the consolidation of new partnerships between the partner organizations and other NGOs or institutions at national level.
