The main objective of this project is to enhance cooperation between EU and ACP countries in HigherEducation through the implementation of students and staff mobility. In particular, this project aims atpromoting the socio-economic development of these countries through Higher Education cooperationwith emphasis in the thematic areas of education and teacher training, medical sciences, engineeringand technology, applied sciences and informatics, agricultural sciences, natural sciences and socialsciences, which were defined as priority areas. This project also aims to promote knowledge transferand capacity building gained by European HEIs during their 20+ years of experience within the scopeof the Erasmus Program, in benefit of ACP countries’ Higher Education Institutions. Finally, theconsortium sought to ensure that the project will be implemented in full respect and safeguard ofthese countries’ cultural identity and idiosyncratic traits and characteristics.The project will promote a total of 211 students and staff mobilityflows: (i) from ACP to EU: 151 master for 24 months, 23 sandwich PhD for 10 months and 21academic and administrative staff for 1 month; (ii) from EU to ACP: 16 academic and administrativestaff for 1 month. These flows were determined in accordance with ACP priorities, and the selection ofinstitutions in EU was based on their comprehensiveness, on their quality and on the thematic areason offer so as to correspond to the thematic needs of the ACP countries.
