Seven universities from Argentina and six from Europe have committed to this project with the principal objective of hosting graduate students from the third country universities in order to train new Doctors in the area of Education Sciences as well as offer post-Doctoral studies and research to Doctors. Argentina, as well as mot of Latin American countries, has been suffering a shortage of Univeristy Doctors that could hold Higher Education at the Doctorate level for decades now. This project will become one of many strategic issues adopted by EU institutions and ministries of the state members, like Spain and Portugal, in order to facilitate of Doctoral studies focused on Education and Teacher training. Mobility of scholars and administrative staff will add an institutional dimension to the main objective from the academic and management points of view.Most of the universities involved have had previous academic contacts through the sholars responsible of the management of the project in their own institutions in previous projects and cooperation activities and there are also bilateral agreements and student mobility amongst some of the partners.The consortium has defined the following one-way mobility scheme : 41 flows, of which thera are 19 doctorate "sandwich" mobilities, 11 full doctorates, 6 post-doctorates and 5 staff. Most doctorates sandwich last >6 months but there are some of 10 months.
