Youth Exchange Program strengthens the sense of European citizenship in young people, and help them understand the role in Europe today and in the future.
Subcultures are different on the regional area, as well as in the world. They are a good means of combining different cultures, learning about the different habits and customs, and are a means of reinforcing the awareness that, irrespective of the affiliation of the subculture, sex, race, religion and nationality, all men are created equal.
In spite of the geographic distance and belonging to different subcultures, youth exchange participants will realize that young people all over the world all have similar interests, desires and needs. Also, regardless of their mother tongue or the language they speak, and the color of their skin, they may have their life objectives very similar or even identical. The current situation in Europe is the same for all young people and for all citizens of the European Union, but also to all the future members of the European Union and their citizens. In Europe, young people all have the same benefits offered by the EU, but also they face similar problems.
In the context of youth exchanges, we wish to stress that the situation is not irreparable and that there are always opportunities that they can turn this situation in their favor or benefit from. It is necessary to be brave enough and of course persistent and is necessary to have the right approach. The fact is that young people in European institutions can change things and be a part of future developments in Europe.
The project reflects one of the common concerns of European society, such as racism, xenophobia, drug abuse and anti-semitism.
The project reflects a common concern for inequality, which is also one of the biggest concerns of European society. With this project we want to show young people that they are connected with same passion through dancing, singing, producing comics, video and audio production. We would like to point out that, regardless of nationality, affiliation of the subculture, similar problems and wishes, we all have very similar feelings and that they express themselves with universal language, the language of art.
With the program of this project we want that young people need to realize that there is no difference between them. We are aware that the youngster is still highly susceptible to potential conflicts, but at the same time, we recognize that young people have their own opinion. By its nature, belief and idealism that are specific only to the juvenile period, they are always open to the opinions of others who are also willing to accept and understand.
The theme of the project is related to the themes of the EU, such as EU enlargement, the role and activities of the European institutions, EU action in areas relevant to young people. One of the main topics of the project touches on the most pressing topics of the EU and, that is poverty. Young people in general are currently the most at stake in the search for a first job because poverty does not obtain the necessary education and at the end they also can´t get their first employment.
Due to the absence of experience and despite the fact that young people are educated, eager for work, conscientious, enthusiastic and motivated, the entry into the labour market is very tough. At the beginning of independent work or career young people have low self-esteem, lack of courage and the right information, regardless of the fact that they have a lot of ideas. As part of the youth exchange we want to show how young people, despite the heavy situation in Europe, can find opportunities for education and find a job and a way out of poverty.
