Th objective of the project CLEAN PORTS is to diminish marine and fluvial contamination in the ports of SUDOE. In order to minimize the environmental impact produced by activities developed in the ports, each region involved in the project develops some initial actions that present a common interest for the set of the partners. This collaboration has for propose to find solutions for the environmental problems, by sharing experiences and searching for individual solutions to each port. The actions to be developed aim to promote the cooperation and the integrated management of the organizations and agents that are competent in the port scope of Mediterranean and Atlantic; the fast and efficient diffusion of a model of environmental management to the ports of the Atlantic and Mediterranean zones; the sensitization and formation of the agents with decisive capacity in nautical and port areas and the validation of new maritime and fluvial technologies to reduce and prevent the marine and port contamination.
