The project "Personal and professional development the key to participation in European societies" is addressed to 45 students of Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych in Krosno Odrzańskie learning the following professions: information technology technician, economist and labor occupations: shop assistant, barber, bricklayer - plasterer, mechanic, plumber and confectioner. The students will take part in a 4-week-apprenticeship in modern European companies in Germany, Great Britain and Italy, which will enable them to gain and develop their professional knowledge as well as to develop their professional skills in real working conditions. During 120 hours of the apprenticeship the participants will perform the tasks, use specialized computer programs supporting the work in their profession, use the foreign language and develop their knowledge of specific language. They will also learn about the culture of work and life in Germany, Great Britain and Italy, the history and the geography of these countries. The students will also integrate with each other as well as with inhabitants of the visited cities. Moreover, they will bring to their friends the news from Europe, and, consequently, they will share their knowledge about creating the companies in European countries, consumer rights and safe use of computer. In the future, they will also help the local employers in the development of their companies as they will use gained knowledge as well as language and computer skills. The project "Personal and professional development the key to participation in European societies" will equip the students living in the area of high unemployment in knowledge and competences useful in active and satisfying functioning in the united Europe. It will enable them to gain practical work experience abroad. Moreover, the achieved skills will be clearly recognized due to the Europass-Mobility certificate as well as the recommendations from Polish and European employers. It will prepare the students for the deliberate planning of their future career and their further professional development. It will also prepare them for entering the European labor market and increase their chances of achieving the professional success. The project will shape pro-European attitudes, democratic behaviors and social competences as well as it will enhance the sense of Polish and European identity of not only the participants, but also the whole local community. Thus, the durability and the effectiveness of its results will be increased.Finally, the implementation of the mobility will affect positively the image of the school. It will be recognized as a modern institution, which prepares its students to living in the united Europe. It will also motivate both the teachers and the students to achieving better and better results. Moreover, it will strengthen the cooperation with partners, which will result in the development of our future actions connected with the vocational training.
