Różne oblicza solidarności
Start date: May 15, 2015, End date: Sep 14, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

?Various shades of solidarity? was a project of Polish-Ukrainian-Israeli Exchange on solidarity understood as citizen?s community of action. University students from Poland, Ukraine and Israel met for 10 days in Poland to share experiences of their countries on civic cooperation. Polish ?Solidarity? movement and political changes in 1989, Ukrainian Euromaidan and Israeli kibbutz movement was used as case studies which teached solidarity. Participants planned and conducted workshops by themselves. They explored cultural and social context of the historical events and reflected on the potential which lied in solidarity. The group of participants contained 18 students, connected with Polish Center for Thought of John Paul II, Ukrainians non-governmental organization Impuls and Israeli organization SparkPro. As an effect of the exchange the group organized a debate in English on solidarity in the Centre for Thought of John Paul II (also available on-line) and created a booklet with participants? remarks on civic cooperation. A permanent result was also an increase of participants? competences, skills and knowledge.
