The project contributes to the development and introduction of the Roma culture to the general public. The main goal of the project is to connect the members of Roma communities in the cross border and border regions through sporting and cultural events. Achievements: An International Roma Festival held an international meeting of recreational sports teams from Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia (Sunday 13. April 2008 at 14:30 in the sports hall of Cakovec School of Economics and Trade), sports and motivation workshops (in Roma settlements), a concert with the participation of the Roma (individuals and groups), a trip for the Roma to Slovenia (including a visit to a Roma settlement), an exhibition of works “The Roma Create” (handmade crafts, art and literary works, photos and the like), a radio show, a television show, a documentary film (the life and culture of the Roma people), a book published on the life and work of the Roma of the area, a conference on the health of the Roma (to be held in Slovenia), and a bulletin published on all the events regarding the implementation of this project.
