This two months EVS project hosted in Liepāja, Latvia aims to foster the inclusion socially inactive young people by involving them in practical and voluntary activities of “do it yourself” bicycle workshop and recycling workshops in summer festivals all over Latvia, thereby improving their skills and knowledge that will enrich their CV and provide opportunity to enter the labor market and public life. The project will last 2 months during the summer in Liepaja city. Following activities are planned within the project: 1) Youth involvement in voluntary work in the selfservice public bicycle workshop. 2) Organization of up-cycling workshops in collaboration with other NGOs working on the sustainability 3) participation with workshops and interaction with public in at least 4 summer festivals 4) Training on CV and cover letter writing, individual portfolio creation on the basis of the participants' skills and knowledge acquired during the project.. Expected results: Young people know to make different useful objects using old bicycle parts and other items. Volunteers have acquired the knowledge and skills that will facilitate their involvement into employment or educational system.
