PROJECT
FINISHED
The interest in risk analysis and management has increased in recent years. In particular, acknowledging the prevalence of uncertainty in the consequences of the decisions, foreseeing disastrous outcomes, and taking precautions against them has gained great importance. The project described in this proposal aims at dealing with these concepts in the context of problems that involve populations. Specifically, it will focus on revealing the effects of risk attitudes on dynamic population problems. Applications of special interest will be governmental decisions such as health and education benefits offered to individuals, criminal justice systems, counter-measures against natural disasters and terrorist attacks, sustainable use of natural resources, and management of epidemic diseases.
