The 8 days long training course “Richness of and Acceptance in Cultural Diversity” is gathering 24 participants from 8 countries (Serbia, Kosovo, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Croatia, Cyprus and Turkey) in Novi Sad from 2-10 May 2013. Project targets youth workers willing to take the lead of facilitating intercultural acceptance in our projects and communities.Project themes are: cultural diversity, cultural minorities, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, intercultural learning. Objectives:- Sharing our realities on cultural diversity- Mapping identity related issues in our local and European youth work- Promoting cultural diversity as strength in everyday life, as opposed to feeling of fear and unkown to many youngsters nowadays- Promoting intercultural dialogue as instrument in acquiring the knowledge and aptitudes for dealing with a more open and more complex environment- Enabling participants to define, plan, develop and lead quality youth projects which contribute to acceptance of diversity in society- Further developing their competences in communication, conflict transformation and teamwork for quality leadership and facilitation of intercultural dialogue- Introducing YiA and developing new projects among partners with topic of intercultural dialogue and involving cultural minoritiesThe training course is based on the pedagogical understanding of the Council of Europe and the European Commission Partnership Programme and our own experience and expertise in youth work and intercultural dialogue. The training course will follow the non-formal education approach, principles and methods.All partners will be involved in preparation, implementation and evaluation and follow-up phase and activities during the training course.Applicant of the project (CJCD) is also hosting the activity in Serbia.
