Restoration of natural habitats alongside the rivers Vuka and Drava with the aim of restoring the original hydrological situation and providing proper habitat for protected and rare aquatic species – the interventions into the environment will also induce the forming of a new water ecosystem on Laslovo oxbow that will develop the landscape in rural surroundings and restore its ecology, forming a more sustainable and valuable natural environment and attractive ecotourism destination on the Vuka in the long run. Achievements: The rehabilitation of several unique natural areas devastated by previous regulation included an intervention into the environment restoring the original hydrological situation alongside the rivers Vuka and Drava, providing a renewed natural habitat for protected and rare aquatic species. A new water ecosystem was formed, developing the landscape in the rural surroundings and establishing a more sustainable and valuable natural environment and attractive ecotourism destination in the border area.
