PROJECT
FINISHED
The Viva-Bois project aims at building a strong and long-lasting network of internship exchange together with educational innovation sharing scheme in the field of wood-working (Joinery, Wooden Construction but also furniture making, Marquetry or carving)
This network and this partnership between Murat Joseph Constant school ( located in the Cantal area) and three European partners – a Spanish high school, a German and a Finnish training centers – is meant to enable more than 10 % of our students to live a rather significant period of professional internship abroad and discover other school systems .
The scheme was built onto a system of student twinning - a French and a foreign student sharing the same internship during four weeks preceded by two weeks of integration within the hosting school.
This project is also meant to enable post-high school diploma students to go for a six months’ internship abroad just after passing of their final examination, thanks to a specific partnership with the Conseil Régional of Auvergne.
Finally, the organization of mobilities, the follow-up of trainees, their support during internship periods and the meetings with the foreign partners are meant to be an opportunity for exchanging good educational practices and building a better understanding of educational systems and innovating schemes.
The wood working field is undergoing tremendous changes with an evergrowing demand towards mobility and adaptability of employees. The Viva_Bois experience represents a great opportunity of getting familiar with other working cultures. It was designed to help them to enter the job market with greater efficiency.
