Common project strategy is strong promotion of healthy living by organising different tournaments, championships, public accessibility to open premisses and playgrounds, set in places free of traffic. This promotion will be backed up with wide publicity, cross-border sport events, such as football matches, table tennis, handball, basketball tournaments, etc. The cross-border effect will be achieved by exchange of coaches and trainers, as well as improving the capacity of municipal officials in matters of sports and participation in relevant EU supported programmes. Achievements: The following results were achieved:- Two existing sport playgrounds, one in Bulgaria and one in Serbia have been rehabilitated. The open sport ground in Lom, which hasn't been is use for more than 20 years prior to the project renovation and the sports facilities at the elementary school "Cegar" in Pantelej are now inexcellent condition and available for use to thousands of children and public in general;- Organization of common cross-border sports tournaments - two 3-days sport tournament were conducted in Lom and Nis;- Improving public health by providing safe areas for outdoor sports;- A comprehensive media and publicity campaign was implemented in order to promote the newly renovated facilities.
