Religion and Multiculturality: Educational Pathways for Local Church Leaders

CULTA project is tailored to a target group of about 80 church representatives, which plays central role in building social stability, peace and integration at local level, but not prepared enough to explore this role in a context of conflicts and violence. The project recognizes the need to widen their access to basic intercultural, civic and entrepreneurship skills through production and dissemination of innovative training products to enable them to become strong leaders in their everyday practices. To achieve this aim, the project envisage realization of 7 WP, which shall give rise to concrete outcomes/products: kick-off and final meeting; reports for the project effectiveness; research meeting, part of the research project phase; articles about the methods used on local level to build peaceful and stable environment; editorial meeting, which will define the training methodology goals and objectives; collection of key competences tailored to the needs of the target groups; training programs (in local languages) and handbook (aiming at church leaders in their lifelong learning processes) in English, Bulgarian, Estonian, Romanian, Italian; 7 workshops (6 national and 1 international) and international pilot In-Service Grundtvig course to unable the target groups to acquire key competences related to their training needs; web-page (English, Bulgarian, Estonian, Romanian and Italian) for dissemination of the results and final conference. The project will respond to the target groups' need to acquire knowledge and skills in order to explore better their civic capacities and skills. The project will assist the church leaders to act as trainers of other faith communities, who have not participated in the project, and thus will establish a way to introduce the new learning environment of the project. At regional level, the partners will become territorial networks to support church leaders in the field. CULTA project addresses Grundtvig 2012 Priorities 1 and 4
