This project is based on the need of various youth organization from European Countries to deal with social problems that are affecting young people: discrimination, migration, violence, social exclusion, global problems, social aphaty etc. The target group of this project are youth workers and the training course is meant to develop their skills in social theatre, becoming multipliers in their organization of this method for dealing with various social problems.The training will take place in Macedonia(the applicant will host the activity), for 9 days and will include 24 participants from 12 European (Program and S-E Europe Neighboring countries- Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia,Serbia, Germany, Italy, Montenegro, Latvia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Kosovo, Albania and Belgium ).On a long term this training will represent the starting point for creating a network on issues like social activism and best practice in this method. The aim of the project is to stimulate the active participation of young people and their involvement in social progress. More specific Objectives of the project are: to develop and improve skills in non-formal education in general, and in particular in Theatre of the Oppressed methods for youth workers; to improve communication, team leading and motivations skills for the participants; to develop pro-active attitudes among the partners NGO members and also among the beneficiaries of the partners; to develop sense of common responsibility for the future of their local communities as well as the whole European community; To stimulate the participants to act as Social Theatre multipliers in their own organization and regions; to develop (with participants as coordinators) national/regional/local projects that uses Forum Theatre (Theatre of the Oppressed) as a working method ; To introduce Youth in Action programme, as a great provider of educational opportunities.
