Problems addressed• Planning and management procedures of Interreg III programmes differ substantially • Integration of Interreg results into regional planning and full involvement of local level lack• Project quality (design, management, partnership building and consistency with regional and national policies) varies considerablyObjectives• to contribute to the improvement of the management procedures in the various Interreg Programmes• to improve the management capability of NUTS II administrations of Interreg Programmes, strands A, B, C• to improve the quality of projects developed on Interreg III programmes (design, implementation, participation)Approach and methodologyo an operative approach, through - the creation of a format to allow an homogeneous data collection (statistical data and existing studies); - - the identification of common parameters in order to allow a comparative analysis of the partners experience and find out the most relevant praxis among the project partnerso a participative approach, enabling the participation of the relevant stakeholders, through- the identification of a range of dissemination activities used by every Partner to foster participation and awareness in Interreg Initiative; - the exchange of good practiceso methodology: experiences from each region at programme and project level will be analysed in parallel (Main activities 1 and 2). Then, the best practices identified (main activity 3) will be the basis for the development of tools (main activity 4) whose functioning will be evaluated by all partners. Finally, all products will be disseminated to a wider audience (main activity 5). Expected Results: • RE-ACT project database• Manual on Interreg Project Management; recommendations for an homogenization of Interreg Programmes Management procedures• staff exchanges (4 executives) and training seminars (3*12hours)
