Facing the misconceptions young Belgians on the Ultra-peripheral region , it was decided to implement a bilateral exchange between 16 young Martinican of the Collective Actions For Independence of Disabled Persons aged 17-30 years and 24 young Belgians Baraka associated Views International aged 16 to 30 years. It includes young NEETs (Neither in Employment Education or Training in gold) visually impaired youth and called "valid". It will be held in Martinique for the first exchange in April 2015.
This project aims to:
- To learn to live together and get to know
- To promote cross-cultural exchange between European "continental" and european Ultra-peripheral region .
- Debate about our differences and our social and economic similarities but also on the challenges facing young people in settings and environments.
- To allow visually impaired youth to witness and educate young people called "valid" in their daily struggles, their share aspirations.
These debates, discussions and exchanges will be introduced in various forms as cultural events, artistic and sports.
This project will serve as a basis pulse so that our young people with disabilities can be integrated through the appropriate mobility and establish itself as a European citizen by acquiring more autonomy.
In the long term, the active participation of Ultra-peripheral region to other actions could be considered to make a reciprocal youth exchange and / or work on the organization of seminars or other project.
