The project "Recycling and Upcycling = Sustainable communities?" will be organized in Berettyóújfalu and surroundings, between the 5th – 12th October 2015 and will involve 36 youngsters (26 with disability) from two countries: Romania and Hungary. The main subject of the project is sustainable development with its components: sustainable households (passive houses, green cars), sustainable companies, sustainable communities (towns in transition, local products), recycling, alternative energy, sustainable lives (healthy lifestyle, sport, no vices). The main objective of the project is to help the youngsters and the community to realize that the actual courses of actions of the world, their actual lifestyle and attitude endanger the environment and the life of future generations. The participants will make animation films regarding 4 themes of the sustainable development: live a healthy lifestyle, buy local products, keep your household sustainable and get active. These films will be presented at the end of the project to the community and will be promoted among the virtual community through social networks and video sharing platforms. The activities of the project based on non-formal working methods (workshops, brainstorming, competitions, role-play activities) will contribute to the personal and social development of the participants, developing key competencies like cultural awareness, initiative and entrepreneurship, civic competencies, communication in a foreign language and digital competencies. The project will facilitate inter-cultural dialogue between the participants and the different ethnics of the local community.
