Reconstruction of international amber route. First stage - Pruszcz Gdanski

General aim of the project is to develop cultural tourism in south region of Baltic Sea.This project in a complementary project to the one applied in ZPORR- reconstruction of trade-post dated back to roman times in Pruszcz Gdanski. Implementation of the project will create complementary product- amber trail and trading-post. Mutual promotion of cultural heritage will be based on that product as well as future enlargement of the trail in Kaliningrad District of Russia Federation and in Lithuania. The first stage will bring the realization, and marking, of 1,500 m of amber trail for pedestrians and bicyclists as well as setting up of the Baltic International Cultural Park (BICP) (5 ha) in Pruszcz Gdanski. In order to exchange experiences 4 sittings will take place- 2 in Pruszcz Gdanski, 1 in Slawsko, 1 in Silute. Mutual network of tourist information center and promotion leaflets (6000 psc - guide-book and its electronic version) will be brought to life. This project is the direct continuation of implementing by Lead Partner project - Amber trail via Pruszcz and Zulawy - Phare 2002 CBC Euroregion Baltic. Project is a result of the direct goals of the Programme- impact on local and regional development of economy. Directly it is resulting from action goals by development of cultural and educational trails, constructing cross-border network and renovation of cultural and historical heritage objects.
