The pollution of natural water and soil is a common problem in Hungary and Romania. Conventional methods are too expensive and their impacts are hardly assessable. The aim of the project is the realization of an appropriate laboratory infrastructure for the development of a microbial and mathematical model of bacteria populations of polluted areas and building a R&D network capable to determine the changes of bacteria populations of polluted water and soil. This basic research may foster the development of practical environmental solutions. The aim of the new R&D network is to create a knowledge base for these developments too.The general objective of this project is the assessment and development of knowledge in cross border area to clean the polluted water and soil and to create a common research base and to the enviromental remediation of the polluted territories. The main activities are: realization of the R&D infrastructure (building of laboratory - renovation of building, purchasing and developing laboratory infrastructure, purchasing softwares and data logger cards, installing the hardware infrastructure), data acquisition system specifications, modeling the actions in the soil with the formed R&D structure, building the results and infrastructure of the project into education.Direct target groups: researchers, local governments, institutes, agricultural companies, other land owners, environmental companies, young scientists, Msc and doctoral students.
