It is an action framed in KA1de reconvening Erasmus + drawn from the study and diagnosis of our center, CEIP Los Califas of the Andalusian city of Córdoba, Spain. The general context shows a large public school , located in a working class neighborhood , with a group of about 40 teachers , of which 22 are directly involved in the mobility project and training. The school had never been involved in any activities related to the European Programmes and opening to Europe. There is a general fear of the language and reluctance to take steps in this regard. However, all students leaving the center after completing primary to secondary and high schools in institutes involved for years in Multilingual and Bilingual Programs . Missing in this center enough awareness of the development of foreign languages and with the advancement in new CLIL teaching and learning methods . There is little middle level teachers with foreign language and although the school is equipped with ICT materials, such as some IDPs and notebook PCs for the third cycle , also relying on the work of an ICT coordinator who leads the center and some web Blogs classroom , there is still a lack of training and use of new technologies in the classroom.
In the development plan , training for this group of 22 teachers from different Cycles and Subjects, seeing both shortcomings and needs around the communicative level of English is collected , initiated a working group coordinated by one of the specialists in improve their communicative competence in that language. Also, another specialist in French is teaching a small group of students of sixth level and teachers interested in learning the other language. It is therefore imperative , after analyzing lack of training and information and openness , to accommodate a program like KA1 to encourage and strengthen the initiative of a small sector , to achieve objectives that benefit primarily the students and families, teachers , school organization in particular and the district in general. It is expected to sensitize teachers on the need for opening a European dimension through the KA1 action beyond our borders that give an insight and intimate with other educational and professional realities , thereby facilitating the successful development of an action KA2 school cooperation between schools in different countries. It is expected to bring about change in attitude throughout the educational community of Los Califas , especially teachers , to the importance of language training as a means of communication and openness to Europe. Educate the faculty of a school with a concrete reality , obligation and responsibility and for students who need to be prepared , trained and guided towards multilingual education in their immediate future. It is therefore essential to get behind this KA1 eliminate fears and language barriers , increasing security and confidence for next KA2 with other countries. It is expected therefore, greater involvement of teachers in language-related activities raised in the center , generalized active participation in future programs of cooperation after the application of a KA2 with Britain and France , the gradual incorporation of CLIL methodology in specific areas , opening minds and horizons by children , beyond their small neighborhood and city. This, also through the use and improvement of ICT in our center.
For the dissemination of the project , improved language skills and life experiences will broadcast a first step in the campaign of " contagion" through meetings Tutoring , Cloister , Cycle , Technical Team and School Board . These experiences are also disseminated on the web and blogs school in order to reach families and their environment more widely. An awareness campaign to engage and support the school project collaboration KA2que will ask and which will begin in September 2014 will . Will also be small and coordinated activities in areas such as multilingual Environmental Awareness , Physical Education , Music, directed and guided by language specialists and expert advice on CLIL . It will also broadcast through the media center that features (Web, Social Networks and Blogs ) and participation in workshops and conferences on the experiences and levels found , primarily in teacher training forums will arise , such as the Center for faculty of Córdoba and annual training events organized by the (Cordoba Inglés teachers Association) Association for CETA language teacher .
