REACT: Raising Environmental Awareness and Critical Thinking
Start date: Feb 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Last year we had the chance to make a first project (a seminar) under Erasmus + which helped us to discover the possibilities of it and to meet a group from Bulgaria. Now we have developed this idea with them.We will use the Easter break 2016 for the exchange meeting with 22 young Bulgarian and Spain. Participants are aged between 16 and 20 years. Both organizations are Scouts, so the starting point has many things in common and facilitates the achievement of objectives.Among the objectives that we have set, we have the awareness of environmental problems and critical thinking. To this end, we will prepare workshops in nature, since the exchange will take place at a camp in Moixent (Valencia). Sleeping in tents and in the hostel, mixed the two countries and the last day will be spent in Valencia to explore the city too. During nine days of exchange we will have opportunity to learn about our mutual cultures, to improve our English and have a good time. We will make recycling workshops, orientation with compass and GPS, debates on climate change and even know an expert who will talk about the Mediterranean forest. The expected impact on the Valencian community scout is a great motivation and interest in European mobility programs Erasmus + Non-Formal Education. We also hope that some of the kids are encouraged to participate in EVS. On the Bulgarian group, we hope that your visit to Spain also have a positive impact and are motivated to continue to participate in international projects. The long-term benefits could be a strong relationship between our two institutions, where we can learn from each other and that our young people can participate in many more projects.
