Re-think and Re-create was a training course for 27 youth workers, peer educators, volunteers from 8 partner organisations (SK, HU, PL, CR, RO, LT, LV, MK), which took place in Modra from 20.-28. June 2015. In the first part of the program the trainers gave input in the form of creative recycling workshops, media workshops, team buildings, we were discussing design thinking and connecting it to the topic of sustainability. Participants inspired each other by presenting best practices from their countries, methods and organisations which are working for making this world a better place. Media workshops were supporting such ideas to give them bigger visibility, we explored in social media and promotion and learned the basics of photo- and video making. In the second part of the training course participants put in practice all what they experienced in the previous days. They organized creative recycling workshops for elementary school children in Modra, and gave an successful open workshop in Bratislava in a community garden for the public. The program was strongly focused on creativity and creative thinking, which is transferable to other task and actions and develops critical thinking about consumption.
