Project ˝The development of digitally mature schools - strengthening CARNet’s capacity for research and ICT implementation in the classroom˝ will significantly contribute to reaching strategic goals of CARNet. We are an institution that contributes to the development of digitally mature society by ensuring advanced and highly accessible e-infrastructure, the progression of e-services and e-content, promoting internet safety in Croatia and the region, as well as stimulating innovativeness and excellence in ICT usage of our users. Additionally, CARNet is continuously developing reliable and responsible partnerships with users, along with implementing and sharing our knowledge and experiences by participating in the creation of legal regulations concerning ICT usage in the education and science system, so this position shall ensure a significant project impact and dissemination to the target groups and to the wider community. This project includes four CARNet’s employees relevant to the specific fields they are applying to. Project mobility activities enable the participants for ICT integration in the education process and integration of problem based learning in the curriculum. Participants will be thought with the mentioned activities how to focus their current role of a teacher or a lecturer in becoming a moderator in the learning process. Also, participants will learn how to develop skills of placing the people that they educate in the center of a learning process, how to identify and analyze certain problems so they are connected to the ˝real world˝. Participants will learn how to focus the participants of our educational activities so they are able to make conclusions based on processing information, and will also develop skills for motivating them for more efficient work and developing skills for learning new knowledge. CARNet’s strategic priority, digitally mature schools, will be reached with the implementation of the project E-schools that will also focus CARNet on the needed and crucial research of the ways and results of ICT usage in the education so that the digital progress of the schools can be continuously monitored and evaluated, and so that the new and better solutions in ICT implementation in education can be identified.
