The Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts (Dolnośląska Izba Rzemieślnicza) in Wrocław takes part in the Erasmus+ Programme. There has been planned a project called ”With Crafts in an Extraordinary Journey” and it will take place between July 1st, 2016 and June 30th, 2018. The main objective of the project is the acquisition by the participants new working experiences in an international environment, as well as, enhancing skills in using German, English and French languages, especially trade/professional language.8 groups of participants will be able to take part in two-week-old internships in Germany and France. There will be 84 participants, aged 16-20. They will be students of Lower Silesian technical and vocational schools, who are learning profession crafts, as hair stylist, car mechanic, cook, baker and construction fitter.In the project we are going to cooperate with our long-standing partners: The Chamber of Crafts in Dresden in Germany (they will accept 3 groupf of 10 people), The Chamber in Leipzig in Germany (2 groups of 12 people), International Meeting Centre in Ostritz in Germany (2 groups of 10 people), and The Chamber in Poitiers in France (1 group of 10 people).The Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts in Wrocław is going to lead the project. There are going to be taken the following operations: - promotion and publicity measures,- recruitment of the participants; two procedures:I – internships in the school year 2016/2017 (4 groups)II – internships in the school year 2017/2018 (4 groups)- preparation of the participants: information meetings, pedagogical, cultural and language courses,- organisation, as well as, monitoring of the internships,- confirmation of the acquired qualifications – every participant will receive Europass Mobility document,- evaluation and popularisation of the results. The accomplishment of the project will increase panticipants’ chances of employment. It will also increase the chances of starting their own business in the local and European market. The accomplishment of the project will have positive effects also for The Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts in Wrocław, e.g. long-term cooperation with the guilds, vocational schools and affiliated institutions that educate profession crafts in Poland and abroad. What is more, the cooperation with our partners will be closer, and that can result in new projects in the future. Furthermore, through the participation in the project, the exchange of experiences in the field of vocational training will be possible. Our partners will get to know all the elements of vocational education in Poland, Germany and France. They will be also able to compare them.
