Radošie profesionāļi - profesionāļi bez robežām.
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Oct 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project “Creative professionals - professionals without borders” will be realized in cooperation with Alfreds Kalnins' Cesis music high school and two international partners – Cantina Records (the Netherlands) and the congregation of St. Laurentius Church in Achim (Germany). During the project, two groups, comprised of seven students (accompanied by an instructor), will each visit one of the aforementioned places to practice and hone their skills. One group of students, from the popular and jazz music section, will visit the town of Groningen in the Netherlands to practice at a music record company Cantina Records. The other group of students, who are learning to play organ, will go to a German town of Achim to participate in a practice seminar, led by a professional organ player, to learn about the trade of an organist in Germany. Project’s aim is to introduce the students to the potential job market by offering them an insight in some of Europe’s music establishments. During the practice period, students will have an opportunity to attend masterclases headed by professionals, explore the potential options of continuing their studies in either the Netherlands or Germany, and organize their own concert. This project is sure to greatly improve the communication and cooperation skills of our students as they test and hone their already existing skills through practice. Furthermore, successful participation in the project will motivate the students to continue their studies and further enhance their skills. It is not, however, only the children who will benefit, as their accompanying instructors may learn new techniques to improve their own education methods and introduce new elements in their agendas. Instructors will also broaden their horizons by acquainting themselves with the intricacies of the Europe’s job market. This new knowledge will come in handy not only in their own work, but also in cooperating with other schools and musical/cultural institutions in order to address the issues relevant in the region’s culture education.
