The Youth Centre Villa Elba organize a seminar 18-23.9.2016 in Inari, youth workers from different countries gather to exchange ideas on international quality youth work and how our core values are shown in practical work and how to raise the visibility f human rights education in our organisations. The refugee situation in Europe has lead to many discussions in our network and we need more concrete actions to prevent racism and intolerance. Through this seminar we want to develop and bring depth to the work with young people by encouraging organizers to clearly work with human rights issues in their projects and contribute to young people's awareness of human rights. We would also like to bring forward various aspects of human rights education from different corners of Europe.As working methods we will use expert lectures, group work, presentations, study visits and organisations presentations.Our aim is that in future the network will in one way or another involve human rights education in their projects. Our goal is also by adding human rights education activities to strengthen our common European values and to create more possibilities to realize equality.
