The project "Quality in non-formal learning for youth workers " aims to develop the knowledge and skills of active and experienced youth workers and leaders in order to plan and implement non-formal learning programs for their youth workers and offer quality training and mobility opportunities. The project is logically developed to include several steps and ensure capacity building for youth organizations to work on increasing quality youth work and project design, focusing on non-formal learning for employment, inclusion and creativity of young people. The project is set up towards 3 objectives connected with working with youth workers:** To raise awareness about the Erasmus+ programme and the policies and strategies that are supporting this programme so that the youth work can make a clear link between policies and programmes** To share tools for youth leaders and youth workers on how to develop and run youth worker mobility projects on different topics such as creativity, employment and inclusion** To provide experience in development of youth work mobility projects (both individual mobility and structured training courses)The project has online work, internal organizational work and structured training course happening in Italy. The online work is planned to happen in a social communication platform such as Yammer or Facebook. It will provide tools for self-assessment, practical information and preparation information. The internal work done in the organizations sending participants is consisted in preparation activities and supporting the self-assessment process of the participants so that they are ready to take part in all activities and implement back the gained improvements. The training course in Chiari is planned to last for 6 working days between 16-26 July 2016. It will be organized by Istituto Morcelliano. It focuses on capacity building of youth leaders and youth workers. The course has several stages designed to support the experiential learning of the participants and build their competences and motivation. It will involve 20 participants are trainers coming from 7 partner organizations from Italy, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Malta, Lithuania, Spain and Bulgaria. The project will make an impact (outreach) to many different groups of youth workers, leaders, young people and policy makers:1. The outreach to young people will be made by the youth workers / trainers who are trained within this process. The project is directed at the youth workers who with their improved quality of educational programs will be making them more accessible to the needs of young people at different communities. At the end around 100-150 youth from different backgrounds are directly benefiting from the follow-up of the capacity building project. Using the working methods of training courses the participants can also use them at the local schools so it has a potential for a cross-sector outreach.2. Local youth organizations (partners of the project) are expected to enter into cooperation with each other for quality non-formal learning development, but also cooperation with centers for social work and educational institutions and together to develop programs for inclusion and employment of young people. We anticipate around 5 follow-up partnerships from this project. 3. Youth workers will have an increased level of competences and skills to work with youth and ensure proper active involvement and follow-up of their activities. In addition they will be familiar with the Erasmus+ Inclusion strategy as a tool in building new projects and activities in youth work4. On policy level the youth organizations partnering the project will have a unique opportunity to feed into the youth policy discussions new ideas about working and supporting quality activities for youth and youth workers This will improve also the quality of work in the area of youth policies. The main expected change from the project is within the partner organizations and their participants which are build to become multipliers of youth workers mobility. The results of the project are long term because it will be reflected in the work of all partner organizations as youth workers, but also there is a long term impact on youth policy (inspired by EU Youth Strategy and Erasmus+ Inclusion Strategy) and link with the employment opportunities. Furthermore the learning activities produce new competences for the youth workers who can now develop programs to increase the participation of young people in the community, to encourage them and build their confidence. Participants - youth workers will work to improve the quality of educational programs and making them more accessible to the needs of young people.
