Quality assurance is a vital factor for all businesses ensuring sustainability and quality of delivered results. European policies for LLL focus in quality assurance in education and training. In schools and universities, exist common acceptable European quality criteria, indicators and evaluation methodologies. In vocational training, there are developments around European Quality Assurance Reference Framework (EQARF). In adult education, however, due to the diversity of the institutes that deliver it, quality assurance is missing or not guaranteed. QUADRAT project proposes the development and delivery of a training course and innovative software support, addressed to managers, administrative staff and trainers of adult training institutes in the subject of Quality Management. The project builds on the results of the successful implemented project Quality Management Systems Training of SMEs (QMS). QMS delivered a training course and training material addressed to SMES owners and quality managers, to implement and manage their quality system according to ISO 9001:2000. QUADRAT project will adapt the products and tailor them for training of managers and staff of adult training organizations. The expected outcomes are: • A training course titled: ISO 9001:2008 for adult training organizations. • Adapted and new training material, including key competencies of staff and case studies of the application of ISO 9001:2008 in adult training organization procedures.• A software for the management of documents, according the requirements of ISO 9001. • Delivery of the training course in two occasions, using in-service training funding scheme. The project results will be in EN, GR, ES, HU and IT and are expected to empower managers and staff of adult training organizations to be actively involved and engaged in the designing and implementation of quality management systems thus contributing to the quality improvement of processes and services of these organizasions.
