Improvement of lessons quality: Modern methodology in international educational practice
This process will be embedded in the longterm development of our school aiming at more and more free and self-determined and activating learning forms. The methodological opportunities as well as motivation in general should be improved through two main points.
On the one hand we want to make progress in dramatic methods both in foreign language classes and German lessons. Free oral expression, foreign languages training and the various forms of Drama established at our school will be linked with each other. Therefore, three members of teaching staff should attend courses in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
On the other hand the school´s programme of self-organized learning forms will get new impulses: Methods and material for open learning and “learning offices” shall be exchanged in an international surrounding. We hope to get stimuli from other countries which can be integrated in our own internal forms of open learning. We aim at finding new and inspiring ways to encourage teachers to act more motivated and successfully in that field. Especially for that second point we want to get new ideas how to motivate students for best results and how to assess performance beyond giving grades. ETwinning, for example, is one of those innovative forms that has already been successfully established in our methodology. With the help of the Erasmus+ project we want to further develop our efforts in this respect siginifcantly.
The following key persons from our school organisation shall attend meetings and congresses in Sweden and Finland: two head teachers, a member of our so-called “intern control group”. Another teacher committed in open learning will practice a job-shadowing at a Norwegian school.
