Centre for Education VLC in Goldap within the project "Gołdap Station" from 14th September to 14th of March is going to host two volunteers from Spain. The project volunteers will have the opportunity to participate in the daily work of our organization as well as get to know the kind of work in the nursery and in a center for disabled people. The main goal of this project is to support the staff of the Training and Education Centre of VLC in statutory tasks, combating social marginalisation of young people with fewer opportunities. Thanks to the implementation of the various tasks, the volunteers will have the opportunity to learn the specifics of the host organization's work, including the nature of the work with disadvantaged youth. They will learn about the different forms and methods of work used in the facility. Class practical apprenticeship will be an opportunity of knowing the different craft professions and it will acquire practical professional skills. Participation in the life of the host organization will create opportunities for knowledge of Polish culture, customs, traditions and cuisine. Volunteers will widen their knowledge about Poland because we expect their participation in events, festivals and organized trips. By being able to implement ideas of volunteers, they will be able to learn their self-presentation skills and the development of creativity. Participation in the preparation of projects and their implementation will equip volunteers in practical knowledge, which in the future they will be able to use by getting funds to implement their own ideas. Volunteers will also be able to participate in training courses organised for the staff of the Training and Education Centre of VLC. During the project volunteers will use regular Polish language lessons conducted by the teacher, who speaks English. Conversations in the workplace will enable quick and skilled mastery of the Polish language.
