Protection against Fire & Energy Saving: Sustainab..
Protection against Fire & Energy Saving: Sustainability, IT & Impact on Construction Sector Demands
In recent years a plenty of new technologies and materials concerning fire prevention and energy efficiency were put on the market. This project has further developed some of these products as web based pilot modules for qualification levels 3 (skilled worker), 3a (worker with advanced skills), 4 (foreman), 5 (site manager, non-academic) along SQF-CON standards (point of transfer) to show new or approved possibilities how to prevent fire and to save energy. Furthermore this project has intended to develop and to evaluate how far respective qualification levels in each partner country are responsible for procedures within the field of fire prevention and energy saving. Within modern construction procedures these two security as well as sustainability aspects could not be parted. Due to new and fast innovative materials, technologies and processes for fire prevention and energy saving, many small and medium sized companies are not well informed and trained on this area how to come along with new challenges. PROFESSION developed pilot web based modules which are addressed to relevant qualification levels and their fields of responsibility. So that project produced two outcomes: a) qualification matrices regarding fire prevention and energy saving on the basis of SQF-CON and b) 4 pilot web based trainings to increase the acceptance and integration of modern learning within the construction branch. Having chosen a consortium which was consisting of 6 nations, there has been the following advantage: all participants dispose of different stages of development and implementation regarding EQF. Because of this fact, qualification matrices as well as pilot web based modules were tailored in consideration of the needs of each partner country and the individuals who require the VET there. Short term aims: comparison of EQF respectively SQF-CON standards concerning the work within the fields of fire prevention and energy efficiency. Long term aims: development of a standardized web based training tool in consideration of compared and adjusted SQF-CON responsibilities for fire preventing and energy saving procedures.
